Leadership recognition continues for Donny Shimamoto, Founder and Managing Director of IntrapriseTechKnowlogies LLC.  Most recently, Donny was appointed Chair of the IT Executive Committee for the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).  In this role, he will guide his committee of fellow CPAs who specialize in IT through a series of learning and sharing opportunities. 

The purpose of the AICPA’s IT Executive Committee is to “research, monitor, assess, educate and communicate the impact of technology developments on the services rendered by CPAs; enhance the quality of information technology services provided by CPAs and show CPAs how to create value by using the capabilities of technology to deliver higher levels of organizational performance.”

ITK Founder and Managing Director Donny Shimamoto, CPA.CITP, an active committee member with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and Hawaii Society of Certified Public Accountants (HSCPA), is well recognized in Hawaii as a leader amongst his peers in both the CPA and IT professions. 

Donny’s leadership has now been recognized nationally.  It was announced today he has been elected to an at-large seat on the AICPA governing Council.  In this role, Donny will serve with 265 other CPAs from around the nation, and assist in shaping the rules and standards of the CPA profession in the U.S. for the next 3 years.

ITK is pleased to announce that our firm name was approved by the State of Hawaii, Board of Accountancy on August 10, 2009--making ITK an "officially" recognized CPA firm in Hawaii.

ITK congratulates its founder and managing director, Donny Shimamoto, CPA/CITP, for being elected to represent the Western District as an Association Director for 2011-2012 for the Association of IT Professionals (AITP).  Donny currently serves as the AITP Honolulu Chapter President (2010) and participates in several key national level initiatives.

ITK Founder, Donny Shimamoto, CPA/CITP, was awarded the Hawaii Society of CPAs' (HSCPA) President's Award on June 18, 2010 at the HSCPA Annual Conference.  The award recognizes his personal commitment, dedication, and outstanding service to the HSCPA and the accounting profession.

ITK Founder, Donny Shimamoto, CPA.CITP, spoke at ASAE-Hawaii's Best Practices in Professional Development conference on the topic: Using Social Media to Support Business Objectives, on June 4, 2010 at the Sheraton Waikiki Hotel in Honolulu, Hawaii.

ITK founder, Donny C. Shimamoto, CPA.CITP, spoke on the topic of IT Entrepreneurship & Key Perspectives for Success at the AITP 2010 National Collegiate Conference in St Louis, MO.  His session was designed to help students prepare to transition from school to the workplace and to help identify the key skills and attitudes that they would need to be successful in today's business environment.
