Our People
Our people possess experience in a variety of strategic and tactical business management techniques and a strong understanding of technical best-practices. We supplement that with in-depth, hands-on knowledge of an organization's internal operations, and the know-how from working in and with a broad range of organizations and diverse corporate cultures. By applying this unique blend of experience, knowledge, and know-how, we deliver high-value, down-to-earth services and work products that enable realistic and cost-effective solutions.

As of March 2008, our team consists of sixteen professionals, two paraprofessional / support staff, and four interns. Our key techknowlogists are featured below.


Donny Shimamoto, CPA.CITP
Donny C. Shimamoto, CPA.CITP, is the founder of ITK and the leader of ITK's consulting practice. Donny’s diversity of experience in financial & systems risk management, program management, technical architecture and application development, systems management, business process improvement & engineering, organizational development (including structure and alignment), and knowledge management (including change management and role & competency management) provides the basis for ITK's unique methodologies and project approach.

Donny was the first Certified Information Technology Professional (CPA.CITP) in the State of Hawaii, and is one of only two in the state. The CITP credential is a specialty designation of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), that identifies Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) with the unique ability to bridge between business and technology; meeting the strict requirements for a CPA license as well as additional training and experience in: technology strategic planning, IT architecture, business process enablement, system development and acquisition, IT audit and control, and IT governance.

Donny is currently a member of the AICPA’s IT Executive Committee, which governs the national IT membership section for the AICPA. Because of his demonstrated IT expertise and balanced IT-business perspective, Donny was also asked to serve on the AICPA’s IT Section Risk Based Auditing Working Group, which developed IT practice guidance for the assessment and evaluation of audit risk related to IT in response updated Statements of Auditing Standards; IT Competency Model Task Force, which is developing a model for use by CPAs to measure their level of knowledge and skills in a variety of IT practice areas, and facilitate career planning and professional development; and to be part of the steering committee of the AICPA’s national technology conference, TECH+, focusing on the areas of Performance Management and Business Intelligence.

Donny obtained invaluable knowledge and exposure to a wide range of organizations (retail, hospitality, state government, defense, and higher education) while earning his CPA license as a member of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP's Business Assurance Services, Operational & Systems Risk Management Services, and Management Consulting Services lines of business. With ITK he has expanded his industry expertise to include not-for-profit (social services and membership organizations), professional services, small businesses, and mobile professionals.


Jodie Gyotoku
Jodie is a senior member of ITK's consulting and management team. By applying her extensive experience in business operations management and back-office automation, she ensures a balanced integration of systems and business processes to ensure that the proper administrative controls and supporting processes are in place to support technical initiatives. She also works closely with system users to ensure a smooth transition from manual processes to system supported processes.

Jodie was formerly the Financial Manager and Office Manager for PriceWaterhouse LLP's Honolulu Office, and was later part of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP's Hospitality Consulting Group. In total, Jodie has over 20 years of management experience, including managing a multi-store retail operation.


Diane Lamosao
Diane Lamosao is a lead member of ITK's consulting team. She has dual expertise as a process analyst and systems analyst-specializing in ensuring data integrity for data intensive business process redesign (BPR) initiatives. Leveraging her extensive experience with application development as a supporting tool for BPR and knowledge management initiatives, she ensures that information systems are properly balanced with business needs, process controls, and user training and documentation

Diane is also one of ITK’s senior technical managers, and is responsible for oversight of the firm’s systems development life cycle and implementation of the firm’s application development methodology. She works closely with ITK’s application development staff to ensure that there are proper management controls over the development environment and that the software produced and its accompanying documentation meet ITK’s best practice-based quality standards.

Diane was formerly with PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP's Washington Consulting Practice (later part of IBM Global Services). During her tenure there, she supported a five-year, multi-million dollar implementation of an inter-organizational knowledge management practice in the defense sector.


Tania Lee
Tania Lee is a senior member of ITK’s consulting team and is also a Certified Public Accountant (not in public practice) in the State of Hawaii. Tania’s area of focus is on financial and operational process improvement with a focus on financial risk management, internal controls, statutory/regulatory compliance, and financial reporting. Drawing from her experience in the private sector, Tania helps to ensure that the redesigned processes are a proper balance of internal controls and operational reality.

While earning her Certified Public Accountant license as a member of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP's Business Assurance Services, Tania obtained exposure to a wide range of organizations including state government, not-for-profit, higher education, insurance, hospitality and construction. She was also a Controller for ten years for a high-end retail luxury company, Prada, which included management of the finance, information technology, human resources, legal, logistics and administrative functions for Prada’s Hawaii operations.


Jenifer Gamiao
Jenifer is a senior member of ITK's consulting team. She is a lead project manager for ITK's application development projects, and is also focusing on the refinement of ITK's requirements management practice and quality control practice. Jenifer works closely with ITK's application developers and quality control testing teams to ensure the proper translation of business requirements into defect-free system functionality.

Jenifer was formerly a member of IBM's Global Testing practice in San Jose, where she worked with clients in the software sector.
